Reform of the U.S. Presidency After Donald Trump
The Trinity College Dublin School of Law is delighted to announce this upcoming event with Jack Goldsmith and Eric Posner.
Six days before the Presidential Election in the United States, Professors Posner and Goldsmith will engage in discussion and debate, moderated by Dr Donna Lyons (School of Law), about reform of the presidency post-Trump.
Date and time: 7pm - 8pm Dublin, Wednesday, 28 October 2020 (3-4pm EST)
Attendees can join the webinar directly via Zoom (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88920816915) and the event will be simultaneously live-streamed on the Law School Facebook page (www.facebook.com/TrinityCollegeDublinLaw/). This event is free and open to all and there will be an opportunity for Q&A. You can register on this website in advance to receive details and reminders but please note: the webinar can accommodate 100 attendees and participants will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Eric Posner is Kirkland & Ellis Distinguished Service Professor of Law as well as Arthur and Esther Kane Research Chair at the University of Chicago Law School. Professor Posner recently published a book on this subject: 'The Demagogue's Playboook: The Battle for American Democracy from the Founders to Trump'.
Jack Goldsmith is Learned Hand Professor of Law at Harvard University Law School. Professor Goldsmith recently published a book on this subject (with Bob Bauer): 'After Trump: Reconstructing the Presidency'.
